With eye on 2023 Rajasthan polls, Congress holds training camp for party workers in Jaipur

The Congress is gearing up for the upcoming 2023 assembly elections in Rajasthan. The party began its three-day training camp for party workers at Bara Padampura in Jaipur on Sunday.

On day 1 of the training camp, senior leaders of the Congress asked party workers to counter the narrative set by the BJP and RSS at the block and the district level and put forth the party’s ideology before people.

The three-day training camp was inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and presided over by state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra. It will continue till December 28.

Speaking to India Today, Govind Singh Dotasra said, “Congress has had a long history. Workers are being trained on how to counter the RSS narrative and put truth in front of people. Workers are being told how to counter the pseudo-nationalism of the RSS. RSS is running the government right now.”

Around 300 party workers are being trained by the Congress leaders in the three-day camp in Jaipur.

Addressing the gathering of party workers, Ashok Gehlot claimed that Rahul Gandhi had been raising issues connected with people, but the RSS had been maligning the Congress and its leaders.

“The party has seen bad phases earlier as well, but because of the strength of our workers, we stand up again and again. Mr Rahul Gandhi is raising issues connected with people to fight the fight against the central government but the RSS, through the medium of wrong propaganda, is indulging in the task of maligning Congress and Congress leaders,” Ashok Gehlot said.
